I don't think it's that much of a tragedy. Come on it's a painting, there are pictures of it and you can enjoy it just the same. My goal in life will be to buy a great piece of art and destroy it and hire a painter to paint a picture of me doing it. A good piece of art is a portrait of someone destroying a good piece of art.

Yeah, I'm really weird about that. If a baby is kidnapped and hurt, I change the channel... But if 20 puppies are kidnapped and hurt, I'll watch it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until they are all rescued. Your right tho, it is actually safe. Safe being that we can still view it from our homes and there are so many recreations that it won't truly be gone.

I hate that the originals were destroyed, but glad that there are still many copies out there to enjoy.

How do you know it was destroyed?
Is there proof?

Nope, no proof. Well, very little proof. Look at the post right below this one. Lots of claims, but I'm not sure about validity. Hopefully it's just a bad joke.
