Ok, I've been comment spammed for the last time, I turned on the word verification thingy, which we all hate. Sorry, but spammers have ruined most of the internet and now they've kicked my little corner in the shin :-(

I tried the word verifcation feature myself but had to shut it off after a few days. I was losing comments from the crazy loop thing that keeps rejecting the word even though it's correct.

Is that really a big problem? If it is, I may need to turn it off... I don't want to lose comments ya know... grrrr

I haven't heard of word verification being a problem. I comment on a lot of blogs and the only problem I ever have while doing verification is that I'm a jackass and keep typing the word wrong. But that's my fault, not Blogger's.
