Shuffling Poker Chips

I want to get away from those pesky issues of morality and humanity and get to something important. This is very addicting and eventually you'll start to do it without thinking about it. It's just a little something to bring with you to Vegas if that's your thing. :)

Cinemas Consider Using Cell Phone Jammers ~ Good or Bad?

I'm not sure what to think about this. When cell phones ring during your first run of a good movie, it sucks. However, what if there is an emergency? Is there any emergency that requires instant contact? Didn't we get along just fine before cell phones? What do yall think? Keep in mind, there is no serious damage to the cell phones caused by the jammers.

The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy

*Only one small spoiler* *just a little thing about Trillian*
Yep, went to go see it... And I brought my towel! It was excellent! I really really enjoyed it. It was simply! Too short... 2 hours long, and it was too short. It felt rushed! Really, it was excellent! It's obvious they didn't have enough room for all the jokes and had to cut it down, but they did a really good job. Actually, I can barely remember any of it... It's like a dream... I watched the whole thing and was laughing the whole time, but damned if I can remember any of it! This may be confounding logic, but it's so good I can't remember a thing about it... Except mabee one thing... Trillian and Arthur had some relationship thing going, which wasn't in the book, but hey, it's Douglas Adams movie and if thats what he wants, it's what he wants! I highly suggest going to see it. It's really very good, and besides the 10 of us who went to see it together(all with towels) no other giant dorks were there. So I promise yall won't feel too weird. :-)

The Scream and Madonna Incinerated?

One of my favorite paintings may be gone forever... I hope this is incorrect. The source is a little funny, so don't take this to heart. It's a local newspaper citing "secret reports" about thier destruction in order to get rid of damning evidence as the police investigation closes in on the culprits of a robbery. I hope this isn't true... What kind of jerk would do such a thing...

Another Dollar Bill Coin.......

This is thier third attempt! It didn't work before and it won't work now. The House of Representatives voted 422 to 6 to move forward on it. Well, thats all well and good, but nobody wants them. NOBODY WANTS THEM. When trying to give out those stupid Sacagawea coins, people were often confused and pissed off thinking you were cheating them. When it wasn't that, it was people wanting to get the bills instead. The coke machines ate them and small businesses wouldn't take them. It's just a waste of time... Putting all that aside, the coins are bulky and heavy. Toating a pocket full of those, or even two, make your pockets stick out.
I know that financially this is a good move. The coins are more durable and thier cost/benefit ratio is high. Thats never been the problem...

This is one of the coolest web comics out there. My favorite is when God puts on puppets and mocks the Devil from up on high. It's very entertaining :)

The Twinkie Turns 75

I love the taste of Twinkies... If it weren't for the horrible horrible side effects. Really, they are almost too sweet. It's about the same as eating a Krispy Kreme... Well anywho, Twinkie will live on to provide pleasure for all those who seek it. Besides, I really wanted to post this picture :-)

Bigfoot Sighting

I used to be excited about these things. The problem with Bigfoot, is that the creator of bigfoot confessed he made it up on his death bed. Besides, I've seen the videos, it's pathetic. I WANT TO BELIEVE, but darnit, it's such a bad fake.

Mouse Put Into Suspended Animation

Yeah, really... They slowed down the mice's heart rate down to 1/12 it's normal rate (BBC). I dont think this is all that amazing, but it's a first step toward our eventual space exodus so I thought I'd post it.
Just finished Midori no Hibi. I would highly recommend it. This was a welcome relief from the garbage that's been coming out. A very relaxing, funny and stressful anime... Try not to correct me on that point :-)
On a more awesome note... If you've been keeping up, the first reviewers of The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy dogged it, but now... The new reviewers are saying, "What the Hell?!" Because it was truely that awesome. Douglas Adams brother himself said "the only thing un-Douglas about this movie, was it was finished on time". That's incredibly good news for me because I need a really good movie to come out desperately. I'm such a huge fan of Hitchhikers that I would be freaked out if they screwed it up. And yes, I'll be bringing my towel opening night. Yall should too.

Portable Ghost Detector

This is a pretty cool gadget meant to seak out eight types of ghosts. The idea is pretty cool, but it sounds a whole lot like a scam.
Off topic, I just started watching an anime called Midori no Hibi in which a guys right hand is turned into a girl that had a crush on him. It is strange, and I reiterate STRANGE, but really funny.

Can to Bottle Adapter This is pretty freaking sweet if I do say so myself. Thanks to CoCo for posting this on Fark. Posted by Hello
Yeah, it kinda sucks... I thought it would be hillarious just like Shaolin Soccer. I'm really dissapointed. You see, it starts off all depressing, then it gets funny until about half way through... Then it stops being funny. I really wanted this to be good, but eh... It really did suck. They seemed very confused about what they were going for. I was expecting a comedy, but all I got was generic kung fu movie number 6,000,012. :( Posted by Hello

New Food Pyramid

When I was a kid I used to look at the food pyramid and think, thats so incredibly stupid. The whole idea is dumb. I know they meant well, but its from the times when you always cleaned your plate. People like me always cleaning my plate is part of the reason I need to lose some weight. Well, now there are 12 pyramids and it's still rediculous. I learned a long time ago that the fruit, vegetable and cattle industries are all in Congress at all times trying to force thier foods down the countries throat. Literally.

HAHAHHAHAA! This Christian clothing store is making a new line of Christian themed clothes. They feature slogans lik, "To Hell with the Devil" and "Satan sucks" LOL

BBC's Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy h2g2

Inspired by Douglas Adams the BBC has made a website that is actually working to make the real deal. It's pretty fun and for kicks, I'll list the ghetto rigged Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster listing:

what you need:
ice
cheap and strong vodka
lemonade
sprite
mint extract
a mixing cup
pitcher

instructions: the pan galactic gargle blaster is pleasing to your sense of smell so that's where these ingredients, that also mix very well, come in and you also need something to emulate the marsh gas (sprite) and the hyper mint (extract), now this mixture doesn't seem too strong, but take note that the mint extract is pure 180 proof alcohol and compared to everything in the pitcher it's a full shot of it, that means that's like a full shot of everclear in this thing. Now, how you mix it is by the cup. You need to first mix 50% of the cup with the lemonade and the sprite then you fill up the rest of the cup with the vodka, and then you very barely pour some of the extract into the mix. Now it's not called extract for nothing, that shit is strong and by the third glass you probably won't even need to add the extract because the residue in the glass will be far strong enough. Each glass you then pour into the pitcher and stir the pitcher with a large spoon and that is the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster.
(I can't be held responsible if you actually drink it)

Moonshine Gasoline

The idea is pretty cool. I don't think I'd ever risk putting that stuff in my gas tank, but its is still awesome. All that you have to do is put some gasoline in the final product of your moonshine to make it work with normal engines. Course, if your distilling, why not just drink it and to hell with driving around. I mean cmon, you could be making 100 proof moonshine instead of some gasoline.

Paralysed Dogs Regain Movement

Aight, I was about to post a highly political thing, but realized I hate being enfuriated by arguing with the other side (this is not a political blog so I'll leave that side open to conjecture)
Back to the point. Sure it helps dogs, but this is the first step to curing paralysis in humans. I swear we are just right there. I know paralysis will be cured in my lifetime. (Of course, I also believe that nothing is impossible and that we'll be terraforming in a couple hundred years.) I guess I'm optimistic?
Well, I'll take good news like this over a political rant any day...

New Cookies for Dogs and Humans Alike! (Scooby Snacks)

This is pretty cool. I wonder how good it tastes tho. Won't this make people a bit selfish? The last thing you want to do is blur the line between human food and dog food to your dog. I mean, if your hungry and your dog is hungry(and they taste good) well, it's obvious who eats.
But hey, its a fun idea and anything that encourages playing with pets, I encourage.

Ok, that last post was terrible. Really aweful and frankly, agrivating (I really try to stay away from the aweful news that plagues most news, but this just hacked me off)...
So here is something fun and worth watching :-) Radar Men on the Moon! This is hillarious. Camp Chaos kinda sucks, but Radar Men, well, it's funny as hell :-) Basically they took an old B sci fi movie and voiced over it making it into(IMHO) a much better and more entertaining movie. If you've got some time, you should check it out.

Unbelievable... Cat Hunting in Wisconsin
I never thought something could be piss me off more. Keep in mind, I hate PETA (people for the ethical treatment of animals)... But damn, this is rediculous. What kind of cruel bastards would make it legal to hunt and kill free roaming DOMESTIC cats! I don't believe it. What world are we living in that allows this?!

Gah! I so want to just post everything I have, but I'm going to pace myself!

This was a fun day including a test and a speech for my production management class. That was a lot of fun :/ However, it all worked out all right, I got a pretty good grade on the speech. The test however, I dunno... Anyway, I'm up to 200 unique hits! I'm happy. I just hope I can keep up this pace. I seem to have a bad habbit of posting 2-10 posts per day, but there is just so much stuff, I have to actually stop myself from flooding my own Blog!
For all yall waiting for ticker to tick down so yall can move on, stop a second and check out the stuff on the page, if ya want :-). I promise there is something here worth viewing!

Jesus in an Ultrasound

This is pretty freaky. However, I've seen so many of these so called "sightings" that I don't even take them seriously anymore. However, it still is cool. It also raises the question, if you use ultrasound to look around, can you find Jesus? And if you look closely, you can see Jesus is breathing fire too!

I can't believe it. I can't imagine eating cloned food. I mean geeze, I love steak like everyone else(except vegetarians) but really! Ugh, how terrible, cloned food... All I can think of is The Fly in which he uses a monkey as part of a teleport experiment (turning it inside out) and when he teleports the steak, it always tastes terrible... Ugh, thats just one line I'd prefer not to cross.... Unless it's damned tasty.... And I'm talking really tasty...

The growing debate. The first reviews are coming out for The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and it's not looking good. I'm a huge fan of the books and I was excited because Douglas Adams actually wrote the screenplay. The problem is the film makers took the screenplay and tore it to shreds(supposedly). I'm hearing the kind of reviews I don't want to hear. For people that have never read the books, they liked it. Those that have read the books are furious. (This is usually a good indicator of the quality of the movie)
So, if anyone out there has seen it, please let me in on the truth. Also, anyone out there, what do yall think? Is it really as bad as these people are saying or can I still hold out hope?
Keep in mind, I'm going to go see it anyway with the towel over my shoulder proudly. No stinking reviews are going to deter me...Posted by Hello

First Dolly, Now Humans

Ok, a sheep is one thing, but humans... The group who copied Dolly now has a license to copy humans.
'Dolly' scientist gets human cloning license - Cloning - MSNBC.com
Whether or not this part is true, is a bit... Horrible
Ok, so here's the gist. From an alarmist point of view. Somehow cloned babies become disposable. In a hundred years, it's just that all babies are disposable. Then, small children, then all humans.
Of course... That's why I'm opposed to making abortion morally ok. It's the first step to making human life worthless.
Let me remind yall that it took 277 tries to get ONE dolly clone... This is from the first source, "plan to clone embryos to study how nerve cells go awry to cause motor neuron disease". They really aren't interested in being successful at the cloning from what I can tell :/

Saturday...

What an amazingly wasted day. I slept for 3/4 the day. I guess I should have gotten more sleep, but oh well. This whole day was wasted. Nothing on TV... I ran out of things to do and had to fall back on the episodes of Invader Zim I had put on my PSP in case of severe boredom.
You gotta love Invader Zim tho. Jhonen Vasquez has such contempt for the human race that it really puts things into perspective. If you like Invader Zim and don't have a weak stomache, I highly recommend Johnny, the Homicidal Maniac. I believe it's a comic of some type. I'm not sure where my friend got it. It's incredibly dark and not for a lot of people. It's such dark comedy that some may consider it over the top or "too much".
Tommorow seems like it'll be study day. Monday will be group project day. It has to be that way because Tuesday is test and group speech day. Gah, oh well.
Right now the one thing getting me out of bed in the morning is the hope that Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy will be great. Also, I've learned that the Serenity(see Firefly) trailer will be showing on the Hitchhikers Guide movie. I can't wait! I just know it will be great!
Well, yall continue to have a good weekend!
This is a cool find. I don't know if it'll ever reach the US for real, but it tastes really good. It's hard candy that tastes like cola. I found it at an anime store and thought it sounded cool. It was really expensive because it was imported, but every once in a while you gotta take a shot. I'm surprised how good it turned out. If yall ever run across it and like Coke, grab a bag. You won't regret it. Posted by Hello
